The Woodland Hills Warner Center Neighborhood Council’s next Community Forum will feature a “Panel of Visionaries” offering different perspectives and philosophies on what make a Great Street.
Proponents of Green Streets, Complete Streets, Shared Streets and the all-inclusive Great Streets will challenge your imagination and offer examples of community’s that went from simple public space to Dignified Human Space, all by addressing the street dedication and by putting a priority on providing for people instead of simply moving automobiles.
Sustainability, mobility, accessability, walkability, ridability, enjoyability and profitability are all benefits of a comprehensive approach to multi-modal, mixed use development that encourages a vibrant street life on a human scale.
The “Great Streets” Community Forum takes place on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am in the Kaiser Permanente Auditorium and features a complimentary breakfast.
Join us in stretching our imaginations, creating a vision for our community and working together to make Woodland Hills Warner Center a place of GREAT STREETS!
