April 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Things have been heating up and the risk of rolling blackouts is more than triple that of last year, according to the state’s power grid operator California Independent System Operator.

Villaraigosa had originally pledged almost $2 million to fund the effort to bring more tourists to the San Fernando Valley but a year and a half into the three year program and no money has been allocated.

Shhh! LA’s Got a Housing Crisis

April 24, 2008 · Leave a Comment

A few months ago, the City Council held an all-day session to address the Los Angeles Transportation Strategic Plan. Closed Schools Master Plan

April 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment

LAUSD logoThe LAUSD is currently on the road, meeting with Neighborhood Councils and Homeowner Associations to present their “Closed School Master Plan.” The West Valley has six school campuses that are “dormant” and the Master Plan (ppoint) addresses the District’s priorities for the properties.

Shifting demographics resulted in a reduced demand for the facilities but the District is reluctant to turn loose of assets that may be needed in the future as demographics continue to shift.
